Composition of the Core Committee

  1. Two to Four members of the Association
    1. They shall not be elected officers of the Association.

    2. Absolute priority shall be given to current members of the Core Committee.

    3. They shall be nominated by the Director, in consultation with the old Director, and approved by the Senate during Spring quarter.

    4. They shall serve on the Core Committee as ex-officio members during the Spring quarter.

    5. They shall serve on the Core Committee during the following Summer, Autumn, Winter, and Spring quarters, or until their successors have been chosen.

    6. A member may be removed by the Senate, or by joint action of the Director and the Council of Presidents. At least 48 hours written notice must be given to the member in question, and he/she shall be given an opportunity to speak in his/her defense.

    7. If a vacancy occurs due to the death, resignation, or removal of a member on the Core Committee, then the Director shall nominate a replacement for Senate approval.

  4. One Senator, the Deputy Chair of the Senate, and a designated member of the Council of Presidents shall serve as ex-officio members on the Core Committee.
