Powers

The Council shall serve an administrative role. They shall oversee and coordinate the day to day operations and activities of the Association. They are also responsible for facilitating and coordinating independent student efforts. They shall be the chief representatives of the Association, both inside the University community and outside.

Any member of the Council shall have the power to call special Meetings of the Association, to establish committees and subgroups as deemed desirable. The Council shall have the right to veto any bill or resolution passed by the Senate. Any such veto must be signed by three members of the Council. The Council shall notify, in writing, the Senate of the veto and the reasons therefore within seventy hours after the adjournment of the meeting during which the bill was passed. At the next meeting of the Senate a motion to override the veto shall be in order.
