Abstract
DigiCash is a company which produces an electronic online payment system
called ecash. This payment system uses blinded signatures to provide
anonymity for the payer, but not, according to the company, the payee.
In this talk, I will briefly outline the ecash protocol, and show how to
use it to achieve payee anonymity or mutual anonymity. Some important
applications of these methods will also be discussed, including how to
make change for an anonymous payer without compromising his anonymity,
and how to use ecash without even having a bank account.
