Function fetch_image_inventory - Return a dict of Image objects from a pickle or marshal file

def fetch_image_inventory(directory, file='images.pkl')

DESCRIPTION

Optional file argument to specify a file other than images.pkl . If the file ends in .mar , it's assumed to be a marshalled file containing a single dictionary.
